My luxury life

I went to the latin dance class and then facial on Saturday. All of my "luxury" life happens in one place called "Chia Tai Plaza" or Super Brand Mall which is a shopping mall at LuJiaZui, the new financial district.

I insist other than work, I should have some personal life. Chia Tai Plaza is the place where I have my once a week life. Have two hours exercises in the gym on the 7th/F, then go to the spa on the same floor for a facial, sometimes a message, then have a good dinner (all the 5th and 6th/F is occupied by restaurants of all kinds of flavour, then walk around on the 3rd & 4th/F for some window shopping, I only buy my cloths in one store called UNIQLO on the 3rd/F where has plain white, black, gray and brown office stuff, finally I go to B1 where has a supermarket for some fruits and croissant. Sometimes I buy a pack of vegetable, but normally I through it away on the next weekend - always forget to cook. There is also a pretty good cinema on the 8th/F, but I seldom go there.

This is all my luxury life every week except those weekends I go out for a trip or must work.

A web friend quited her white-collar job and opened a small hotel in Lijian, Yunnan Province. I've never been there but heard it is such a relax place that made people feel shame.

Getting Bored

I got approval on my annual leave on May so that I will be back to Toronto from 4/28 to 5/12. I wanted to have a longer holiday but 5/20 will be a reporting deadline of one of my client.

Quite boring these days and start to think about the meaning of life again. The more I think, the more I want to quit. The tremendous admin works, deadlines and client unreasonable requests made me feel very depressed. Most of the time I feel I am like a personal admin assistant and have no achievement at all. And when I need support, I could get nothing.

The statutory reporting deadlines are closing. The reviewing process made me crazy. As both the partner in charge and myself are not Chinese CPA, we have to request someone else to sign the reports, - no one really want to do that due to the risk. So, begging, filling one by one complicated forms, as well as revising the report as per the reviewing comments from partner, signing CPAs (two signatures are required), and QA reviewer. I am so sick of it.

Also there was sth. quite funny happened recently and I am thinking to terminate my secondment earlier.

My brother came for a training in Shanghai, so we took a short trip with our parents last Saturday. The place has no fun but staying with family made me feel relax. I can't remember when the last time we went out together.

No Title

It is already March. We finally complete the engagement for the client applying to transfer to a locally incorporated bank. Busy season is getting slower. I came back home at 7pm today. It is the earlist in the three months. My parents came last weekend. So I don't need to eat out every day.

First Week after Chinese New Year

I think if the busy season was continued without the Chinese New Year holiday, I would not feel so tired after I came back from the vacation. I don't have the mood to work.

There is a place called XiangXueHai (Fragrant Snow Sea) where is famous for the white plum blossom. I made up my mind to go this morning but the shuttle bus depart every alternative weekend. So I went to Tong Li and Zhou Zhuang instead. In the middle between Shanghai and Suzhou, both are famous towns in the region of rivers and lakes, and quite similar to Zhu Jia Jiao which I introduced before, no more than canals, bridges, and Ming/Qing style buildings and gardens ... ...
