Huang Shan - 6/23

Reputed to be the most beautiful mountain range in China, the cloud-cloaked peaks of Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain) have for centuries been celebrated y poets and painters. The most well-known saying is: back from Wu Yue no need to see other mountaines, back from Huang Shan no need to see Wu Yue. (Wu Yue represents to five famous mountains in China in the east - Tai Muntain, south - Heng Mountain, west - Hua Mountain, north - Heng Mountain, and centre - Song Mountain.)

Huang Shan is like the enlarged potted landscape. Although the main peak of Huang Shan is under1900m, the 70 sheer rock cliffs are spectacular to hike. Even when shrouded in mist as is the norm, the scenery of precipitous peaks, bamboo groves, and ancient, twisted pines is unusually beaudiful.

I took the cable car to the half way and spent a night at the top. The weather was misty, so I missed a lot of good sceneary, the sunset, sunrise and boulder with different shapes

firm orgnized outing to a bamboo forest - the scenary was good but it was not a good experience. I won't join such kind of tour anymore....

FB in Shanghai
A friend will move to Beijing, we shopped and ate together for whole day on Sunday. Discoverred a lot of new places, such as Tian Zi Fang, an artists gathering place with their workshops and galleries.
