Vacation Time

Back to Toronto for only two days and then headed to Austin, TX where hubby is now.

Heard that one of my schoolmates who joined the firm at the same time as me got laid off. I was shocked. Five years for nothing - She hasn't got her CA and just back from the maternity leave. I have always considerred the firm as a very important part in my life and always thought it is very reasonable and treats/communicates to us well. I start to think about next April when I will be back. One year before, HR insisted that my China trip was a secondment but not GDP. So if it doesn't want me back next April, I won't have EI and consistent Canadian experience. This is the first time I feel fear about my career with the firm.

Planning to do the IQEX during this vacation but could hardly study.
